XVII International AIDS Conference
I found out this morning that the IHMP is going to the XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City, 3-8 August 2008. “On behalf of the Scientific Programme Committee, we are pleased to inform you that your abstract entitled The International Health Mentorship Project: creating mentorship avenues between future physicians and NGO experts in HIV and AIDS, has been selected for poster exhibition at the XVII International AIDS Conference on Tuesday, 5 August 2008 in Poster Exhibition, Hall D.” My plan at The AIDS Conference is to create a big new sub-section of mentors for medical students that focus just on the global HIV issue. I want to somehow track the conversations better, to document the type of education that medical professionals need in this realm. Then I want to push it on the Deans. This is my scheme.
