“The world is full of suffering. It is also full of overcoming it.” ~Helen Keller

“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself” ~Anna Quindlen

“But let there be spaces in your togetherness
and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but
make not a bond of love:
let it rather be a moving sea
the shores of your souls.”

~ Khalil Gibran

“I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits. I believe that what self-centered men have torn down men other-centered can build up…….I still believe that we shall overcome!”
~Martin Luther King’s Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech, Oslo, December 10, 1964

Breaking All the Rules

“There are moments when rules
are meant to be broken; when
bursting out of context is the
sole way to see with new eyes.
There are fences built only to
be torn down. The slats look
solid, but no one drove the nails
in tight. There are barricades
around the heart asking to be
breached. Sooner or later we
all run out of excuses for
staying small and safe.”
