Hypnotism

A Rwandese man singing a hypnotic melody in the taxi this morning. Something you listen to that almost puts you to sleep; but something that sounds distinctly African. The scene was surreal. The chaotic Kigali street, bustling public taxis, dust, rain clouds, noise… but the calmness I felt in the taxi, knowing I was leaving this place in a short three days. The knowledge I had that on some deep level, I will miss it.
